Chapter 25: Look Who’s Laughing Now

Trey’s parents never made it to the hospital to see the babies and they never called, so I was highly upset. We drove to his parents’ house but they weren’t home. We pulled up to our new house in Bowie, Maryland that I bought with the insurance money from our old house. It was a six bedroom, five and a half bathroom with three living rooms, a basement and a big kitchen with a pool in the backyard. There was a big gate going around the whole house. You had to put in a code to get through the gate and we had cameras all around the house. It also had a six car garage and a big driveway. We still had the townhouse. After we got the kids out the car and carried them in the house, I went upstairs to take a quick shower and change my clothes. I went back downstairs, and somebody was buzzing in at the gate. I went to look at the camera and saw that it was a delivery man. I pressed the button to talk.

“Hi, can I help you?”

“I have a package for Ms. Larson.”

“Who is it from?”

“It don't say.”

“Come in,” I said. I pressed the button to open the gate then I closed it behind him. I walked outside and signed for the package and opened it. It was full of pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Hill tied up. There was a note that said

Meet me or they will die. Call me within the next 2 hours.

-Love always Rell.

“Boo, I think you gonna want to see this,” I yelled, going into the house and pressing the button to let the man out and closing the gate behind him before going in the room with him and the kids. I handed Trey the letter.

“Call him.”

I got my phone out of my bag and dialed Rell’s number and waited for him to answer. Then I put the phone on speaker so Trey could hear what was going on.

“Rell, what do you want from me? You the one who fucked up our relationship, not me.”

“I want you and my kids in my life, till death do us part.”

“Rell, them aren’t your kids. Those are my babies. You should have thought about me and my babies before you fucked Kai.”

“She forced herself on me.”

“Okay, whatever. Give me Trey’s parents back.”

“It’s gonna cost you.”

“Cost me what?”

“I want the $200,000 you took from me plus an extra $300,000 and my cars back. And to hold my kids and you in my arms.”

“You can get your money and cars, but you can’t touch my kids. Leave them out of this.”

“Those our kids, and when you come meet me bring the kids and the money and cars. And I will let them go.”

“Okay, I got you but the kids aren’t coming outside. They only two days old and it’s cold as shit outside.”

“Meet me at my house in 2 hours,” he said as he hung up.
